Hi, I’m Derek!

Author, Gamer, Dynamic Content Creator.

The internet knows me as Capt Cabbage, a content creator who combines his love for gaming with pirates, poems, puppets, and other obscure talents!

I started creating content on YouTube shortly after finishing my degree in English with a Creative Writing emphasis. My goal was to create a community with which I could share my talents and aspirations. Lately, I have moved a lot of my content creation to live streams on Twitch, and have started building a community who recognizes me as more than just a gamer.

As a creator, I’m always thinking about making things. Whether it is my current work in progress novel, poetry, puppetry endeavors, or any other type of content, I strive to create.

Currently, I work full-time as a exam and coding developer for Microsoft Office competency exams. I enjoy my work, but have dreams of paying the bills and being successful will my own creative entities. I’m also a husband and father of 3, so I’m busy.
